Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards
- Scholarships and Financial Aid at Ontario Colleges - Most college websites have a section on scholarships and financial aid that is available at their college. The link to scholarships and financial aid is usually visible on the homepage or is listed in the prospective students section.
- Scholarships and Financial Aid at Ontario Universities - The Ontario Universities' Application Centre eINFO website has a scholarship search tool to help you find the internal scholarships, unique to a specific university and available to first-year students. Once you have located a scholarship of interest, visit the Financial Aid section of the university's website for additional information.
- Canadian and International Scholarship Programs - The Government of Canada maintains a database for Canadian students wishing to study abroad and Foreign students wishing to study in Canada.
- Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) has links to a number of other non-OSAP scholarships and bursaries.
Post-Secondary Planning
- Identify the prerequisites required for your desired postsecondary programs.
- Start planning with your Grade 12 courses in mind and work backwards.
- Ensure you select the correct Grade 11 courses to meet those prerequisites.
- Check grade 10 course types to ensure they match your pathway (applied vs academic).

Post-Secondary Pathways
Admission Requirements
- Ontario colleges require an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
- Emphasis is placed on Grade 12 College English and program-specific requirements (e.g.,Math or Science).
Applied Learning Focus
- Colleges emphasize hands-on, practical learning.
- Programs are offered in fields such as healthcare, technology, trades, and business.
- Prepares students for direct entry into the workforce.
Diplomas and Degrees
- Students can pursue diploma programs (2-3 years) or degree programs (same prerequisites as a University Program)
- Opportunities for co-op placements and internships are available.
